Teck's '86 K5 Build -5.3 LS/4L65E swap

Thanks, it's been alot more tedious work then I expected.

Wow, I even caught the brand new lines running down the frame. You really are making it "literally" brand new. Looks great so far.

Those aren't new lines just clean and painted the old ones.

No I need to take my camera to the shop. Those are from iphone4 and the light in the back of my shop is not that great.

It does look alot better then the pics really show.:D

I don't think this one will see much mud. I will have to get another one when I finish this one to use to go wheel'n and hunting with.

Awesome!!!

Tek, I want to more or less duplicate your build on my burb. Just love factory fresh stuff, and I really love NOS stuff!

Nope not much lately. Hunting season here and work has been busy.

Just been cleaning up some small parts for paint, also need to finish getting the axles ready for paint, maybe over the holidays I can get a day to do that.

Did give my steering box to my friend to drill for hydro assit this weekend.

Haven't work on it much at all lately. Hunting season just ended last weekend. Need to get motivated to get back on it.

Wow realized it been 2 years today, since I started putting my K5 back together.

Finally had some nice weather and some time to work on it again.
Got the axles the rest of the way apart and cleaned up today, just need to do some final cleaning and weld a new shock mount on the front and they should be ready for paint.

With spring around the corner its time to make some progress.:D

Thought I would post up a few pics of some progress.

Figured at this point, while they where out, might as well clean the insides and put in all new seals in them.
