The 2wd burb thread. Fixed!!!!

2wd big block burb tow rig
[QU,OTE="noJeepshere, post: 3926220, member: 10519"]Makes a nice sound in the meantime.[/QUOTE]

It is quite a pleasant burble.

So went to start the burb. And it made some noise but never cranked the engine.

Key to on, nothing comes on. Key to accessory and it works as it should.

Leads me to believe it's the ignition switch on the column.

All wires in good shape from battery to starter.

You talking about the one on top of the coulmn under the dash?

Had same problem on my dump truck this summer. It wasn't that, it was a fusible link wire on the firewall.
It could be that on yours though.
Second the fusible links... easy check before you pull the column apart.

I don't think I have ever had a fuse able link die. Wouldn't I lose all power?

I was gonna say it’s not the ignition switch. I replaced four in my 98 6.5 before I realized it was something stupid upstream.

So this is a weird one. Looks like the sock on the fuel pump was coming apart.

Pretty sure that's the source of the stumble. That screen was more clogged than this . Replaced the pump just cause I think it may have severaly shortened pump life .
