Yeah unfortunately have other things inhibiting me for the next several weeks. I get about half an hour I can spend on it here and there. Things will break loose in April

Most headers should clear the angle plugs like that. I'm pretty sure the last of headers cleared my angled plug AFR heads.

Some headers will, at least like most headers anyway :haha:

The big concern is that the exhaust ports are shifted up in the cylinder head .2", so the header flange actually covers the top part of the port :weld:

I’ve run those type of headers (lesser brand) before and never has good luck with performance or fit... Sanderson does make a good product though.

Yeah I’ve spent the last week harassing other members and emailing manufacturers

Sanderson is the only one that specifically mentioned raised port and angle plugged heads.

I had my suspicion going into this that I would end up with headers anyway, so no big surprises

The newer GM small block heads have raised ports including some Vortec heads and the fast burn heads

I knew the zz6 has that port design as did the zz4. Didn't know it was all

Yes those newer model crate engines in that series. This engine is the SP350/385, roughly the same cylinder head as those

Fortunately I probably needed to move away from the iron manifolds
