I tried to fill in the blanks from the other side. If I need to explain some weird thing I did, let me knowLooks great, i like it.
I like that they are flush.Awesome job dude. I'd be all over it, looks strong and won't draw the eye as much when painted, but my short ass needs a step.. lol
Not sure if I'm going with steps. But if I did they might go like this:If you make some awesome steps, I'm gonna steal the idea... Just forewarning. Getting rid of those chrome tubes on mine are on the list.

And also tends to swing under the truck at the most inopportune times known to man.I'm not to keen on the look of the ones that I have seen, but on a truck that gets actually used, a loop of chain welded to the slider allows a step but won't snag on rocks.
I have been thinking about something similar for my '90 since it a rust that could get removed too.Not sure if I'm going with steps. But if I did they might go like this:
Using either 1x 1.5" share time out 2x 1" round, you could sink either flush into the slider with about 6" hiding behind the rocker, and brace it someplace. Then you could slide a step in or out, complete with whatever drop works well for you to get in

You missed the point. This is less conspicuous
