I ran into a guy at the yard once that was pulling every square body steering box that he could find. He said he rebuilds them himself and I keep kicking myself for not getting his number.
I bet they have a 2wd box and I'm sure he can drill and tap one himself. I understand though that he wants a good one.But you may have forgotten that this truck has crossover and assist ram. Napa doesn't carry those.
Why not?Yeah I’m not a fan of doing a steering box every year

I’ve changed 10 steering boxes in 18 years. So noWhy not?
It could be a tradition![]()
Must be operator error. You see, I've also tried used boxes. That did not help

Most the ones on the K5 we shitboxes. Blew a couple of them up with too much pressureM

The buy in is the only issue on a PSC box from ORD. But yeah, you know good and well ORD stands behind their stuffMy PSC box was awesome and never hiccuped.
I did have PSC rebuild one of my P-Pumps and their service in that regard was very good. I would have no worries about sending them a box if it went bad.
With that said, I also have had great service with Howe. Was easy to talk to those guys on the phone about things.
Not to be plugging a bunch of companies... But ORD would definitely go to bat for you if you bought a box from them as well I'm sure.

Getting closer to this point....
It's sound logic. I missed most of BB17 when it pooped gear #2Do it once and be done
That 465 that lost 2nd gear should be my best buddy. If not for that I wouldn't have had your help on Moab Rim at BB17. And I sorely needed the help. It's sound logic. I missed most of BB17 when it pooped gear #2
missed Flat Iron Mesa at BB19 cuz the box
that was after 18 trips to Moab mostly unscathed. Even the year the bent72 lost the engine, I made it back to the trailer on the last day
