What MAP are you on? I thought yours had a little bit of lumpy in it from before. And I'll take notes and try to be mindful of what it's doing. Part of trying to get Edelbrock to pony up the 5008 MAP data was to see what is missing, and not just on mine
Not sure I haven’t messed with it since I put it on looked at it a few times but have not changed anything, I’ll look and report back in the settings thread .
It did fire right up in 18 degree weather this morning, first snow fall for us this year.
It just feels like it’s lugging below 1500 rpm .

Just to add a few more pages to this... what about a nv 3500 trans?
I think the later ones are better strength-wise, but might be questionable behind a strong small block.

I know I've heard of people complain about the gear spacing on the 4500's. I really can't complain with mine. I don't feel like I have a big gap between 3rd and 4th like the 465 did in my old truck with a wheezy small block.

Might have something to do with big block torque in mine though. If I'm not getting after it accelerating I'll typically go from 2nd, 3rd and straight to 5th with no struggling. Then again it will accelerate pretty quickly from 55 to 75 mph in 5th alone if you want it to. Don't have to row the gears much if you don't want to in mine. Torque is fun when you don't have to spin the engine to the moon to get it.

Didn’t take a ton of pictures, but I did get about half way through. Center section is tack welded, top flaps tacked. Test fit, and made necessary adjustments. Started beveling all the plates for the burn in tomorrow
