Kurt has a nice little cart to put all of his reels like that on (dowel through the center). If I were doing something like that I'd consider something like that also. Keep it all easy to get to.

The best thing I like to use is some aerosol High-Tack. It makes the gaskets stick in place and helps them seal a little better and they won't squish out as bad as with silicone on them. Also if you want really purdy holes get ahold of a gasket cutter set, they are way handy for punching holes.So do you install them as is?
I used to use silicone on the paper gaskets. I sounds crazy, but it makes them last a lot longer!
I learned that trick from a dirt track guy from North Dakota.
