I can tell you from my experience, you can bend steel lines without heating, I have done aluminum, steel and now stainless steel with my crappy Craftsman bender. Now double flaring takes good tools for stainless...





And Miracle Whip won't help.....
 
I vote for a brownie since you got the wheel base. I saw a guy here in town one day that ran two sm465s in a row in a K5. He made a custom adapter to mate the output of one to the input of the second and had a 2" input shaft on the second one from a dump truck application. I think he had a 205 behind that. Rear driveshaft was like jeep TJ short and prob had no way to flex since u-joints looked maxed out. Front driveshaft had a carrier bearing in it. You could shift all kinds of gears then. If I calculated right it would be like 176:1 in low low high.
