While I’m not 100% familiar with the FITech, I know the theory behind injection idle control involves both IAC and timing adjustments

I did read on the FITech forum that the non-ignition control units aren’t as smooth operating as the controlled units

That's for sure I may try a billet Msd with control soon
 
Maybe but mine sounds good.
The kid that runs around my town without a muffler on his pickup says the same thing.....

The trick to wheeling with a loud exhaust is to go fast enough that the sound can not keep up.
And I think that must the be theory that same kid is trying to prove.

Do I sound like the GET OFF MY LAWN!! guy. :D

Buy your kid a muffler Scott!

Late to the party here. I've got a pair of 15 yr old Straightline Performance mufflers I had for a 400 project that I would donate to Scott's son. They were loud as f*ck and sounded great. Just enough to get past the rulebook. I think they'd be good on his truck. 3"ers
