my bone stock L31 vortec replacement 350 is pulling 23-25" at 700-725rpm
Not surprised this is running lower due to the cam and head specs. Nice to have other engines for reference

So your gage might be pooped

Mine is a Hastings. No idea on the vintage but my dad used it when he was younger
Maybe, but did you notice my screenshot this morning in the Proflo thread? With the engine off, it wasn't at zero. Possibly only a problem if the EFI doesn't know what to do.

Yeah -2.4. I know that engine was solid at 15 before the head change. Apparently we need some new vacuum gages

I was assuming that the programmers of the software don't have the conversion accuracy right for MAP sensors. As in, vacuum to millivolts is off.

Now I’m curious. I have a digital manometer. I’ll have to see if it will read high enough to check inches of mercury. It’s calibrated and all that fancy

I hope that you can find something. I had even told Todd at Howell about it, and had 2 different MAP sensors read the same, he wasn't concerned. But I was, and still am curious.

Need a range of like 260 wc. I know it will read to 60. Had an oven at 60 the other day, 4x what the regulator can handle
:yikes:

10-4 :waytogo: on pics when i am ready . ..

and for those running this system whats your mpg average ? i am doing around 6.25 or so on my sniper . :yikes::eek::1zhelp:

I'm fairly OCD about tracking that stuff

for Reference the Sniper got 11-12 from Denver to Moab

Actually I was kinda irritated.
It got 15ish in 35s on the TBI on an old engine

I know the 37s are a lot bigger (33.75 to true 37), but I hope to gain some of that back and get 13ish at least

With the mpfi you should be able to push it a bit further as far as how lean your cruise can be without making it buck. I would be shocked if it didn’t get better than before..

That’s for the gas thieves :haha:

Drive it to the station, no issues. Put 20 fresh 91 octanes in it, and readjusted the idle screw to reset the IAC at 5

No funky tape and hold your tongue to one side to set it

Drove it easy down the county road to get a feel for it. Needs a light return spring, throttle is pretty light and easy. Too easy.

Little lazy but not bad. Smooth, no weird spots in the RPM range. Gave it some throttle going up the county road. Could already feel some adjusting had occurred. Ran it up to the state highway and pulled off. Checked for leaks.

Return loop, just more putt putt back to the stop sign and turned. All primary throttle, up to 5k clean, paddled a few gears and ran it up to 75. Barked out the exhaust on the 1-2, but that was it in terms of issues on the drive

Hammered it off the light, pulled to 6k, cleaner and more firm than the first pull. Downshifted it hard from 3-2 up to 5500, no issues

All this on the base setting. I made no changes other than setting the timing and aforementioned idle screw

Way easier to set up and use than the Holley. Already runs and idles clean. I’ll be curious to see if/how it improves with more miles, at 20 right now

Very good, sucks you had to go through the others before you got to this system. But your experience is probably gonna help one of us out.
