Part of the delay beside just life and job stuff, and no garage heater, is that I've been doing research

One of my goals this off season is to gain 20-30 lb/ft and or move the torque curve back down where it was spec'd before the transition to fool injection.

According to GM's own claims, the PF4 has raised the peak torque 1000 RPM over the carburated configuration. This change also comes with a rise in HP and peak RPM

Putting a 1/2" air impact gun in your tool box will add 200 ft/pounds of torque instantly.

I'm really no help as usual.
Totally left field, but I’d like to research boost now that the PF4 supports that. However, is not on the menu any time soon

Which intake did you get with your broflo
It’s shipped with the open plenum that’s part of the kit. I have the number written down somewhere. It’s essentially the Victor E intake with MPFI ports drilled in
If you’ve been following the work done by @folkenheath that is why he is doing the Volcano modification on the open plenum intakes, because there is power left on the table there.

Currently, I have Grandpa Bent looking for the Brodix intake turtle. Years ago we bought one for a Victor intake, and I’d like to add it to mine to help recover some of that

I’m not sure how well an RPM with an Air Gap would balance the fuel/air flow through the intake. The plug reading differential from the upper and lower plenum seems problematic. Interestingly, I didn’t see that (or not as pronounced) running the TBI injector

I did see it running the Sniper, but discounted it due to having an intake leak discovered on the change over to the PF4

Ok. That one is the better of the 2. The one that's like a ram jet, basically a log with tubes down to the heads is better for top end but kind of kills the bottom. That's why I wondered.

Bottom one in this pic is what I mean.
Was gonna say it you have that, you may have trouble getting the low end torque back from vids and stuff I've watched.
Not saying they were correct either. Just what I seen.

Yes I have the top. I have ran this engine with a Q jet, tbi, sniper, and PF4. So I have a very good reference feel for what has been lost

You have one of the original turtles, interesting. They still sell them I believe. I myself have never been fond of gluing something inside the intake, I think I would rather weld something in and then shape it. An even better idea is to create a locking interface so you can swap out different shapes. Oh wait, that's what my patent is...:pimp:

I actually have an intake on the way from a pulling truck where they had built a dome of epoxy on the intake floor to shape it and then it came loose! So I am machining it for a Volcano so they can try different shapes.
