I grew up in Wis and we always called it Kentucky chrome. My buddy in high school was painting his '77 high boy gray and went to buy more paint and got the wrong stuff and just went with it. Painted his entire truck in that chrome crap.
Speaking of, my buddy back home was painting his 1967 merced coupe and he wanted a silver color with silver flakes and he ended up putting the last coat in pure silver flakes, you couldn't look at it in the sun, it was blinding

Finally pulled the rear leaf packs apart and went to 6+1
It would have been easier to completely drop the spring out. The droop was ridiculous. Got much easier once I used the tank skid as a jack stand perch and just dropped everything on the floor

No more fun speed wobbles. Rides like a k20 now

Any one else having Wix filters that either leak or won’t come off? Third one in 2 years. I’m about done

WIX has been the topic of much controversy since they got bought out. Apparently a lot of them aren’t even made in the USA anymore. I checked some boxes at o Reilly and a lot are Mexico…..I also am using k&n now

I've posted my story. And the mechanic that we use for the business vehicles has had issues.

Last filter I bought was K&N as well.

I often have filters stuck on even though I put them on the right way, snug then en extra 1/4 turn.
If they don't come off easy, I stab them with a big screw driver and twist them off.
That also drains them before I drop them and make a mess

Same way I put them on, by hand. Having the pipe, clutch linkage, and 02 stack in there doesn't help. But the cap tool just spun
