Mine got changed with the coloradok5/ck5 change, that was a while ago. Still weird, pretty sure I'm not even the one that did it. Gotta keep on top of it I guess.

I was contemplating that, I did already stretch the spring.I remember with my doubler back in the day, adding a nut under the spring to firm up the detent on the 203 range box. Just weak and vague in "stock" form. Especially compared to the 205...

This thing was loosey goosey compared to the 205.
But that is also too stiff
If ya did I missed it. Much happier with the detent welded up higher and a bit of dremel to make it lock in snug. Shifts into low very much like the 205 now.i could have swore i told you @Bent77 to put the 5/16 nut under the spring cap bolt . . . .
yes it makes a HUGE diffrence in the feel of the detents on the 203 shift lever .
when i built my first one i could just tap it on the bench and it would shift . but after the nut spacer trick it was the same as a 205 feel i figured .
