The Camper Thread

Yes serious. If the wife can't feel like she's relaxed, then what's the point of owning a camper that doesn't work for us. The plan is to go close to the same size, but not a pop-up style.

That's awesome! I've never thought of it that way :saweet:

Thinking about it, I wouldn't mind doing that "theme" on my Blazer, mild lift, tall skinny tires, "official" looking lightbar and push bumper. This means I've come full circle, back to what my Dad's plans for it were, when I got it it already had 33x9.50's on it.

I’ll trade you campers

So I was just looking over the camper and some of the molding around the shower is peeling away. Should I pull it off and re seal it or replace it or not worry about it?

I'm more than likely never going to part with it, though just for conversation's sake here's a picture of my actual Alaskan, as of 2004 or 2005.

Fair enough. I found one in Indiana for $400. But I'm buying a house next month so gotta watch what I spend for awhile

Yes sir I did, what are you going to do?

the guy helping me used to be a tech for Camping World. He thinks it won't be too hard to fix. once I get it fixed (or buy another) I plan on leaving it in my dually and parking it in the shop out of the weather. then I can move it out when I need the space to work on something. should help it last a lot longer.

I bought my "rot free" Lance from my brother. I had to add 1.5x1.5x1/8 inch angle iron at the jack mounts and along the bottom edge where the hold downs are mounted. Welded as one piece then bolted into the good areas. Seems to be good on the semi.

I look at Lance Campers a lot. seem to be better quality than some.
