So I looked through your thread. Didn't see anything else about the traction bar.

With a traction bar you are trying to control rotation. You essentially are restraining the top of the housing in which you are trying to control rotation, but not the bottom.

You need 2 points on the axle to have an effective traction bar.

Your design will work to a point but will become ineffective and in certain situations may actually induce axle wrap.

If you want to truly control axle wrap you need to have a lower attachment point.

Not sure if you were planning on that or not

thus is why its not completely finished yet. Im not completely sure how i wanna complete it. I figured with the mounts on the top I could get away with out using bottom bars.

Going for something like this...

No traction bars yet :/ Dont wanna snap my u-joint. hahaha Yup they are wired directly into the dome light and all my interior lighting is L.E.D. and also green. haha

They've got em. Did you see my led terreins lights under the truck at the end of the vid?

Yah those are sweet too. Ima steal ur truck, and ur woman in the middle of the night:haha::haha::haha::haha: just messin lol

I'm short, ill admit it, and the chains are a pain in the ass. first time i tried to use em, i wacked my knee on the rocker and cussed for about 10 minutes totally forgetting the task at hand

Ive got those alluminum side steps (ive never used em, but luckily my lady is real short and uses them) they dont look to horrible, but i think you would need some type of drop bracket for sure to get in urs, or you could do like swetty and make some out of rebar:waytogo:

Yup, rebar and expanded steel and some angle iron to bolt to the frame. Works well, and holds 250 lbs on a regular basis lol

Took her for a drive around the block tonight!! Wowza it is weird, got some work to do now, a few things need some adjustment. Passed a stock dodge and all I was able to see was his roof. lmao :D
