The Mistress 1982 K10 (Rockwell Mud Slut)

ive been waiting for snow to get the truck out and play...i shouldnt jinx myself, if i keep complaining about the lack of snow were going to get 4 ft

by the way, the truck is awesome.

It's rare that we even get snow here. We got just under a foot in some places, so I had to take advantage of it.

And thanks!

Ya we got a foot over night where I live, up in the hills there was 29". Although i was pissed that it snowed just a week after I am started ripping mytruck apart!

Well at least next year ill have my jimmy up and going.

Btw the rig looks killer with the 44s, how did they do in the snow?

Yeah man, that sucks! What is the final plan for your jimmy?

They don't like turning in snow, I only had 2wd because I don't have a front driveline yet, they make a knarly roostertail though. Haha.

I went out to get the mail after I messed around in the driveway, and my 15yo neighbor said, "wouldn't be interested in selling that beast would you?" I said no, but knowing his mom and dad, I coulda sold it on the spot. Lmao

Dude Sell it to him for like 15 k or something haha.

Well its getting the tonnage treatment, front locker (probally loc-rite) 52/56 swap, and gonna go with some 40 inch interco.....i wanna do 40 ltb up front and boggers out back.

Nah, that truck wont leave my posession as long as I have something to say about it.

Sounds sweet, keep us updated!

Glad the damn snow is gone!! I can finally work outside and not die! Finishing up the roll bar with door bars, as well as the traction bars and its been an experience to say the least! Haha. Radiator is in, and I'm pleased with its performance. Its finally warm enough to keep my truck running, it doesnt like the cold. haha The exhaust is almost buttoned up (need rear mounts). I have the front driveline I'm gonna use, its a 1 ton Powerstroke shaft and is pretty beefy, gonna re-tube it and run it. Have a few more items I wanna add to it, and make some definite changes.

Finally getting some money back in the old bank account, got stuck high and dry for 3 weeks with a truck payment at the end of that stretch. Glad its done, happy with the new job, making enough now to really bring the beast to life! :D

Gotta make some repairs to the daily driver though. The steering box is worn to sh*t on the Cummins (whatta surprise, who woulda thunk a 6" lift and 37" toyos would wear that sh*t out) and the pinion bearing is toast (last wheeling adventure I took it on, I sunk the rear end, and a faulty seal leaked in some merky bearing eating mud), the front end bushings are worn and I have to re-route my blow-bye tube, its puking on my diff and causing me anxiety. haha But I've got a set of 150hp nozzles for it and a buddy of mines offered to make a custom intake horn for it with a grid heater delete, but I wanna do the converter and the valvebody before I add another 300 ft/lbs of torque to the poor bastard. haha

So thats my current update

Are you going to do swing outs? That thing looks like it would be a pain in the ass to get into before you added the roll bar.

Nah its not that bad, just climb in, I think the cage will make it easier, somewhere to grab and pull from. Haha

Beadlocks!!

I drew these today, the wife said she'd like to see them, so I drew 'em up. My buddy said he'd burn em out too. So I guess i'll be gettin some beadlocks :D

Those are sweet. Can you burn stuff out that small? Like the arms on the girls?? :dunno:

I re drew them last night a little bigger due to the fact I didn't save the original :doah:

My buddy says the machine should be able to do it, we will see. I sent him the .pdx file for em and a set with punisher skulls on em.

daaaaammnn

Been almost 2 months since my last post! Anyway, like many of ya this is my blog/ build thread, so it doesnt just cover my truck it covers a lil bit of everything. That being said I havent worked much on the beast. Been living in the night, work from 3:15pm-1:45am mon-thurs and sometimes friday. Cant very well bust out the old angle grinder and chop saw at 2am. Haha And i made another purchase (like i needed another project. Haha). Its a 20' three axle, hydro tilt bed trailer. Price was right but the trailer still needs finishing. A pipe-fitter friend of my father started the project and lost interest so my gain! (3) brand new 3k lbs axles, new wheels, brand new tires, and brand new 10" hydro rams. Not plumbed, or wired. So i bought 20' of 7 wire trailer wiring with a molded plug to run tge lights and brakes. I bought (2) 2.5" amber LED lights for the front clearance lights. (7) red 2.5" LED lights for the rear marker and clearance lights. (2) clear lensed 24 diode 2x6" LED lights for the brake and tail lights. Bought 40' of the 3M reflective tape for the sides. Also some terminal blocks to run the wiring around the trailer. I had to relocate the rear axle to the front to change the tounge weight. The trailer was set up to be pulled by a Ford F600 flat bed boom truck so tounge weight wasnt an issue. I made pockets in the front of the trailer to cover the boards and protect them from the winch cable. I havent worked in the trailer much due to lack of time (ie parties and bad weather) haha. So far though it is comming along nicely. It still needs hydro lines and solenoids, a deck surface, finished wiring, fenders, tie down points and an inspection. This is a photo of when i brought it home

Ive also been working on my Cummins. Replacing a bunch of worn components and doing a few upgrades including a triple disk torque converter, 150hp injectors, new lights, a new grill, new 4" dual exhaust, possibly some H1 tires to replace the toyos and for sure a Grade5 hitch

And thats all i really have at this point.
