The McLeod clutch we put in our 4-speed Malibu was killer. That’s gonna be a bad sob when the sex change operation is complete.
 
I’ve been accumulating crap at an alarming rate. So today is Shop clean day. Moving stuff off the bench that’s just storage and moving usable stuff there

On call this week, so the car won’t make it to the strip

So this is a maintenance week
Pull the intake and deal with the gaskets. It’s vortec, so they leak and suck

New radiator hoses cuz they’re tired

Put the 3 core radiator in place of the single. Had a chance to clean it out with some scale remove and flush it

See if I can fit the open element top and cowl air box


Fuel line/pump/gage

Need to loosen all the engine mounts and try to realign the tail shaft. It’s not centered and with a manual slated for this thing, it needs to be right


Toying with the idea of selling both Muncies and buying a tremec

I'd say the big "sell" for the Tremec is retaining OD making the car that much nicer to actually drive on the highway.

Well, and it’s not beyond what I’m capable of getting into. RMDW is doable from my location, but that OD sure would help the fuel costs. Think I’m too late for anything but the wait list for 2023, but I could have the car ready using the 700. But I am not really in love with the auto
