Got some work done on the axles tonight and am planning on get the 14blt and rear springs under the truck this weekend.

What I have gotten done so far.

Axles stripped down and painted with por15. New pinion seal in the 14blt and have all new bearings and races, rotors, calipers, and wheel studs going in tomorrow.

Hey now, thats not purple, thats plum. I did mine the same way on all my parts. My friends made fun of me all day, until when it went out for the first time this year to the truck pull, all their girlfriends and other girls loved it. Instant shutup.

Thanks guys! :thumb: yah I just wanted something different and I like the purple will look good I think. Gonna he trying hard to get the 14blt tonight. As long as my new truck doesn't keep me too busy...

Went and bought myself an a$$$$$ 10 yesterday :dunno: like a needed another vehicle :doah: but I wanted something to drive to work and to haul my dirtbike around to races this summer. Would use the Ferd but it's too tall. I can't get my dirtbike in and out of it myself anymore :doah:

The Ferd, a$$$$$ 10, and the mini van. Somehow I always buy white vehicles.

Got the old axle and leafs unbolted and rolled out of the way and rolled in the fresh rebuilt 14bff. Went to go bolt them in and realized the ubolts I got aren't going to work. So have to wait another day till I can get new ones.

Yah forgot to compensate the weight on the hoist without a rear axle in so when I unbolted them the front dropped and put the a$$ in the air. oooops

Hey, your paint booth (stall, whatever) looks like mine, sans bike :haha:

And, umm,. w.r.t. the color, isn't it "grape", not "plum" ? :D [This from a guy whose truck is "Urban Smurf Camo", so I can't talk smack! ]

Cherish the brand new, rust free, clean rotor/caliper sparkle.....

It goes away so fast!!! :doah: :haha:

I actually took the time once to mask off the rotor surface and paint the hat. That on the dually rotors which have very tall hats.

As opposed to that thread a while back where the ricer had painted the rotor surface and pads as well, and we were never sure if he was serious or not...

The pads will burn that paint off so quick, it really doesn't matter.

As I was looking at it last night I thought to myself. Wonder how long they will last looking this nice? :haha: idk we will see this truck will primarily only see sand anyways so maybe it will last if I can keep it out of the mud:dunno:

And to settle the color debate. The color is VHT anodized purple. Not plum. :haha:
