The restoration/modification of Daisy.

I only know cause I had to buy a set to run the chevy hub caps with my ford wheels. Sure did love that combo!

I have a bunch more pics of it on my MySpace page but the photos are such a bitch to retrieve now that they changed it all up!

Here is a couple more.

It was better than I could have hoped. I really liked it. I may try again some day. Anyway, glad you got em!

I got 32 of the conversion lug nuts for $30 last year at the Swap Meet in Lincoln.

****!! The best I've found is $110 through summit racing. I'm going to the junk yard this weekend. I'll see if I can't round some up.

The restoration/modification of Daisy... [wiring and tire decisions]

Well ****. I need to go to bed, I'm not thinking clearly. Goodnight everyone.

My goals for this weekend are to remove the body lift and replace all the body hardware & bushings. And to build the crossmember for the trans.

I can't get anyone to come over and help so we'll see how this goes.

body lift is gone, new body mounts are in, heater hoses are done, changed the cold air intake a little and mounted my rear upper shock mount. tomorrow i'll try to get that cross member built to get rid of the ratchet strap under the transmission. pics tomorrow.r

So I'm working in a crossmember today. This is the second draft and I think it'll work. The first one was never going to allow a front driveline to be installed. Fortunately I never welded any of it together. Without a driveline to throw in there and check I'm a little apprehensive but I'll just tack it for now.
The end pieces are tacked in place.

Here you can see where I plan to cut it out for driveline clearance.

Oh yeah and I scored a chop saw on craigslist today for $125

Get yourself a diamond blade for the chop saw. They are expensive but last forever and cut super straight. With one you can even trim an 1/8" off any size metal.

well i feel pretty good about this weekend, i got some **** done. today i got the crossmember done, for the first time in years, there are no ratchet straps in the drivetrain. :woot::woot:

i ended up with just over 1/2" between the floor and transfer case.

i'm probably going to notch it some for the driveline. not sure if it'll hit as i don't have a driveline to test fit with and i can't flex the suspension right now. i'll also add some gussets here and there and tabs to bolt a skid plate to.
