The restoration/modification of Daisy.

I'm no expert, but there's 2 things I'd double check.

1) It looks like your drag link hits the spring plate at full stuff and max left turn.

2) I always read (here) the bump stop should keep the springs from going past straight.

#2 depends more on the springs. Standard leaf springs that is good practice, custom springs have a little more forgiveness to them as they're designed to be pushed harder when they're made.

The drag link just touches the spring, clears the spring plate. You'll notice the drag link is bent to clear the oil pan, if the spring were really hitting it, the link would at least roll upwards a little. They're touching so lightly that I'm not worried.

If I did that, but I'd have no up travel. My springs sit flat at ride height. I've spoken with ORD about it, they say it's fine.

Yep, do that with pro comp springs and they'll be dead in a couple weeks.

cool...I definitely want a set for the front (ORD/Alcan). That and my shackle flip and a zero rate will give me the height I'm looking for.

That's what I'm running, ORD up front and a DIY4X shackle flip in the rear. I'm about to add a zero rate to the rear.

Long rides on the highway are about to get a lot more comfortable. I grabbed a Magnaflow 12589 muffler on Amazon the other day. It's a straight through glass pack like my Borla but it's around twice the size so it should cut the volume down without sacrificing too much power.

We leave in the morning for Minnesota, visiting family, so i won't be installing this til next weekend. Then I really do need to finish that winch mount.

That's basically what I did to make my exhaust less obnoxious and it helped a lot.

My junk sounds pretty good for a single pipe exhaust. Series 50 Flowmaster i made dumb dumb in Vegas put on. 3" in/out. The drone at 75 mph is going to make me into a 65 mph top speed driver because its more tolerable at said speed.

Managed to fix the Winters shifter no reverse lights issue today. Next up is poss rear main (grrr) and or lack of a parking brake.

I actually prefer single exhaust, mine is all 3" single.
I like those shifters, sometimes I wish I got one instead of my Lokar.

Next it looks like i get to do a rear main. Would have been nice if the dip shit in vegas had gone thru and resealed everything. Bought the housing with the seal since it was cheap. Now to look into a jack that can handle a 4L80e/NP241c's weight. I am also going to start the hunt for a torque convertor since i got hosed i might as well install a good one while its apart.

I've thought about a different converter but I'm not sure what would be best for my application. It's been a long time big time since auto trans class back in college. Haha!

Same problem here. I have 12 credit hours on automatics from back in the day and i have never used the schooling.
I'll probably call Phx Trans out of weatherford texas. They built a 700R4 for me years back when the 79 crapped out in LA after a job so i had it towed the 500 miles to them. When i left that trans would bark 37's...

You really need your cam specs to get a correct converter. Even a basic converter will out perform the sloppy stocker, makes a big difference.

There is a place in phx that sells a new valve body for the 4L80e that makes it a 6 speed. I am thinking about calling them and asking a few questions. Might as well since i have a date with harbor freight monday to buy a trans jack to get after the rear main issue. Engine is a bone stock 04 LQ4.
