Toyota forums are worthless for anything outside of how to bolt lights on or what camper setup to use.
Chevy to the rescue! This was not the road trip I had planned for the day.

I started out early driving the Toyota south to pick up a transmission near Vancouver, WA. 1.5 hours into a 4 hour trip, the engine went into limp mode, lost power, and stumbled as i pulled over to the shoulder. Nothing sounded bad and it was still running enough, so I limped it off the freeway to an Orielly's parking lot and checked codes.
It came back with a likely bad coil so I called the wife to bring me the dually with the trailer. She made it down a couple hours later and we loaded the Toyota and continued down to pick up the transmission. Then another 4 hours home.
It doesn't mean anything.I’m at 75k on OE plugs and coils with no issues on my tundra.
I drove a 2011 rav4 for over a decade. Reliable car for sure.It’s not a truck-truck but I’m enjoying this RAV4 Hybrid AWD so far:View attachment 491575
Bilstein is about to release a 1.5” lift and I just confirmed the speedo reads fast. Already told the wife bigger tires would fix that.
Having all the tunes from your phone plugged into the truck speakers is awesome - I haven’t listened to the actual radio in years.Hahah.. I sacrificed gas mileage for the Tacoma. I figured Im spending so much time in my car driving my kids all over I want to enjoy what I'm driving... I've been missing my old Tacoma since I traded it in. Now that only one kid needs a booster seat. I'm getting my Tacoma back.m, which I enjoy driving.
Now instead of groaning when they need to be all over I'm like, yes I'll take you. Plus this Tacoma has all the Bluetooth fun, so my phone has all my music right there. My 2011 rav I had to keep a handful of cds in the car for music hahahahaha..
