it'll have a stock front bumper and the bed will be gone.... gonna do a super quickie, cheesy temp bed on it till I get my tube order in and finalize some details for the custom bed...

tbi 454/ SM465/ NP205, 60/70 with 4:10's... I've never been particularly fond of red interiors, but I'll learn to live with it, for at least awhile... other than normal things like tunes and such, the only initial plans I have for the interior are buckets up front and something in the way of a console... maybe down the road, maybe, I'll convert the interior to black...

the outside is where the love will be.. probably 5" to 7" of lift, x-over, eventually go SRW up front.... eventually run some 37" radials, something like Kert's CC.......

shorten the WB a tad, chop a couple feet off the back rails... gotta change out the door mirrors.... I'll throw some paint at the cab when I paint the tube bed black...

What kind of bed is on that right now...what's it used for? and where are you going to put it :eek1:

Is that a Blazer in the back of that?

the bed is staying there... i assume it was a farm gig, probably hay bales or something...

not sure on what's in back, does look like a K5 tub tho...

nah, just the crew cab... nothing on the back, just frame rails...

Sweet!!!!!! Congrats. Cant wait to see what its going to look like. I know it will be awhile though.

well, I just hope u-ship will have a shipper within a week or 2 of submitting the job.. which will be a few weeks off till it can be ready... I'm hoping/praying/ouija boarding that it'll be here by maybe the 15th to 20th of april... i really need to have it road worthy by the first week of may....

i am stoked to build/play with it.. and it will detour the K5 for a bit, but it needs to be done... my biggest issue will be to not pilfer an entire bedroom of K5 parts to put on it! :doah:  :haha:

:haha:

unfortunately New Naz, ummm, joysey requires flaps, at least on some duals like this..

but I'll run a much more subdued plain black pair.. actually i have a pair ordered, along with some universal truck taillights already...

I think I can make it "work" with the flatbed I'm doing...

ummmm....$$$$$$$ 6 tires instead of 4...ouch!

yeah.... tho those goodyears on Kerts can be had for about $100 a piece iirc... military stuff i believe.. but, getting set up to run that way will require quite a few steps and coin...

Wow...those look good too....any truck tire for $100 is a good deal...just curious...do you put bead lockers on the inside set?

And your truck will still be cooler than any old newer Dodge you could have bought:waytogo::D

i am quite pleased to be building a square body instead! no Cummins for awhile... but that is honestly way down the list... with my job, I have incredible access to BB toys... ;)

I honestly wont mind the BB mileage much, unless I'm towing which shouldn't be too often... most of my driving is VERY local.. heck, the last 3 yrs, I've only been putting about 3 to 4,000 miles a year on my DD...

I don't think Kert did on the inners, but not sure... it is one sick looking rig tho... and I think my tube bed idea's are gonna be pretty killer....

Looks like he added something to the back window area that makes it look a bit like an Avalanche....looks cool...some picatinny rail looking stuff would be kind of cool...

Nice truck...

Just some FYI for ya, All the quotes that i got from U-Ship were about 1600 to ship my K5 from Jacksonville, NC to Murietta, CA. Thats a legit Coast to Coast trip.

Thought it may help you judge what you may expect to pay.

thanks Dave.. yeah, u-ship guestimated it at 11 to 1200.. but I was prepared for 1500 from a good feedback shipper... I'd like to keep it at or under 1500 if possible...

Cost me $1200 to get my Blazer shipped from San Diego to Alabama....but that bed is going to be wider than your average car carrier...the Blazer had to ride up top....
