Wife's 67 Power Wagon Build -Cage complete!

I have never seen a finished one. At least none of mine are.

Just had a thought:confused:
Are any of our trucks ever really "finished"???

In all seriousness, I believe the answer can be "yes"...

Most of the endless projects are the result of the owner "moving the goalposts" constantly and trying to take the project in a different direction from where it started.

The main issue is that if you want the "ultimate" wheeler, you don't start with a truck at all. You start with a tube frame and axles and build from there. If you try to force a full-size to become something it's not, then you end up building at least 3 complete vehicles: A street truck with good offroad capability ---> A great offroad truck with limited street capability ---> A truggy with whatever sheetmetal remains from the first 2 builds...

If guys were willing to write down a specific list of criteria that they wanted their truck to have, they could actually "finish" it someday.

Very very well put Greg!!
You have hit the nail on the head with that statement!

Love the "goal post" comparison, I never looked at it like that.

Axles angle to be determined.

Starting to come together.
Axle perches loose until the rest of drive-train is in.

lol, HTF can I be so impatient with a truck already done?

*taps fingers on desk in an impatient, but not in a bad way, manor. :D

That's great!
The wife is smiling because someone is interested in her truck.
In the Summer she worked in the garage "commando" in her coveralls.
I'll show proof in the morning. Hahaha

I think you just became her favorite...blazinzuk!
She likes your avitar too--looks Canadian. Lol

engine assembly time

I had to get her to stop wrenching to get the photos.

Sometimes I get dirty looks because I was slowing her down...
