I got a little bit done today. Nothin major, but it needed to be done. I bought this bad ass battery tray for my Odyssey PC1750 from a vendor on Pirate-

Today was 'fab a battery tray mount' day.
I'll let the pictures tell the story.
This is what I started out with. As you can see, the Odyssey is waaay bigger than the stock battery tray-
Stock tray-
The idea was to make this fit in the stock spot-
I decided to use the bottom half of the stock tray-
So the top half needed to be removed. Had to drill out the spot welds-
Here's the bottom half mocked up in the truck-
I cut a piece of 1/8" plate to match the bottom of the Artec tray-
Drilled holes and welded nuts to the bottom side-
Then welded the plate to the bottom half of the stock bracket. No pictures of that.
Rather than try to re-invent the wheel trying to come up with a way to tie the tray into the fender mounts, I decided to re-use the the appropriate pieces of the stock tray-
Rough mock up. Tacked brackets to tray. It took a small amount of grinding/cutting/fitting of the brackets to make them work-
Fully welded, fitted, ground and de-burred-
Painted and bolted in place-
Finished product. The Artec tray is bolted to the me-built tray with counter-sunk allen bolts-
And the 140amp Power Master alt in place and working-
And this is my co-pilot, Bo-
