So we put it back together after putting in a new oil pump just for good measure, and installed new balancer, distributor,water pump etc

the original 454 had tossed a rod, so found a very low mile 454 out of a 77 farm fuel truck, 37,000 kms.

even thought the truck was born with a 454, I don't think any short box 454 truck came with a manual...But that's how we got it

before the exoxy we chemical treated the minor surface pitting to get it clean...it will all get filled later with poly spray filler and block sanded

We ended up making the floor out of 2 pieces laid sideways to get the width we needed and welding them together. we matched patterns
