The late model rear diff works good for an easy disc brake upgrade, 30 spline axles (early 10 bolts 28), wider track width if sticking with 1/2 ton

We wanted the track width the same front to back. No spacers. The 2007 1500 rear diff is nearly same as the front, actually like 1/2" wider

If you are installing a BDS cover on your front 10 bolt, you have to clearance it for the inside axle u bolt...just a little grinding will do it.

The time came to tear out the stock stuff with a 2" lift i guess. My brother bought the Jimmy with the 20s and 285s on it, we would reuse the wheels

I also cut off and shortened the 07 shock mounts and reattached so the did not hang below the diff 4"...why gm builds them like that???
