The butterfly/valve has a nice sweep to it, figured it could stay. I also didn’t feel like cutting it out. I welded the counter weight “open”. This engine is beyond tired, evenly worn but tired. I don’t see anything helping at this point. Haha
I don’t know what else I did but this car is a dog now. It was slow before but fun. Now it falls flat if you push too fast on the throttle and accelerates like an old diesel.
Manifold vacuum to dizzy. 8* idle @650 no vacuum. With vacuum its around 30! This is a mark I put on the pulley, maybe the mark is off a couple degrees. Vacuum gauge at idle is a steady 18. It idles and cruises so nice, highway is ok too. If you roll the throttle quickly, it accelerates faster as you lift.
