1969 C10

Slow process of putting it back together.
Hood pins would be way cooler than a chain.
I don't want to drill through the hood.
This accomplishes the same result without having to do that. I'm the only one crawling under to open the hood, which I don't mind doing

Went for a drive today , so smooth. Finally, not sweating my butt off cruising it around town.

A short story video on my Instagram. It's private, so you may not be able to view, sorry. Maybe it will play here, so I'll upload it here as well.

Ok, dropping the truck off to have AC installed october 21st. Hopefully, all the original stuff still works. I don't want to "upgrade" to any aftermarket systems.

Should be done before Dino's get down on the west side of town.

Fingers crossed.
I need to do this. No A/C after sweating all day gets old.

I found this but it seems to be for far later models

yes thats what it looks like. I am not sure the accumulator is in the factory position. The hose connection are probably not in the original orientations.

you may need to go to the wreaking yard and nab a few different ones and modify them. Mine is missing, and had a buddy nab one from the pick and pull, didn't fit, think it was off a mid 80's.

Also take a look at the pipes going through the core support, while engine is idling. see how much they move. may need some rubber there if rubbing.

Looks good will be supper nice this summer.

These trucks originally has a dryer by the condenser and a POA valve at the evaporator.
Looks like a nice update, just need to figure out a new support for the accumulator.

Yes I see that it is a POA valve evap, the small 3rd aluminum line is for the POA valve.

Must have a orifice tube conversion
