I don't want to drill through the hood.Hood pins would be way cooler than a chain.
This accomplishes the same result without having to do that. I'm the only one crawling under to open the hood, which I don't mind doing

Weather, AC is on hold while I use funds elsewhere for now. Winter is coming anyway. Probably around March I'll try to get the AC doneWas it cool from ac or is the weather better? Down right cold in Apple Valley to me.
I need to do this. No A/C after sweating all day gets old.Ok, dropping the truck off to have AC installed october 21st. Hopefully, all the original stuff still works. I don't want to "upgrade" to any aftermarket systems.
Should be done before Dino's get down on the west side of town.
Fingers crossed.
Vintage motors AZ. They did the wiring harness as well. They do good work and the owner, Mike is a nice guy. They're in Mesa, the trek is probably worth it.Where are you taking it to get installed? I'm hoping next year I'll have ac!

I drove it a handful of times maybe more this summer and it was pretty miserable. Just sweaty and not fun at all. Hopefully the stock stuff still works when all hooked back up.I need to do this. No A/C after sweating all day gets old.
Keep your eyes out for the clamp that should go here. It supports the weight of the accumulator. After what seemed like forever (2.5 months to be exact, the AC /heat is installed and works well.

I noticed that, but I haven't found an accumulator bracket only dryerThat says drier, you have an accumulator, they are different. Many people will use the terms wrong.
These trucks originally has a dryer by the condenser and a POA valve at the evaporator.
Looks like a nice update, just need to figure out a new support for the accumulator.
