Removed the 4” rancho lift springs. Tossed in a set of 2” EZ Ride springs. Also added the Off road design HD shackles. I feel it improved the ride, also leveled out the rake dropping the front about an inch
Before
Well twice now I’ve had to tighten the bolts from the bell to the trans. With it coming loose it started making noise. Either throw out bearing or pilot so it was time to put some new parts in. The trans is the one and only thing in this truck that has not been removed. So it was time For a clean up and seal job.
Well I guess I suck at taking pictures. NV4500 is in the truck. Been driving it for a few days now. Luckily it shifts all gears nicely!
The Np208 I had found had a small crack in it. I dropped it yesterday, JB welded it up, put some RTV over that. Seems to be holding fluid for now
Had a local guy cut down my rear shaft and add a slip yoke. I shortened a front 700r4 shaft myself. Need to rig up some sort of transfer case shifter now, maybe stock 208 or get creative
Drive this truck everyday in the negative temps and snow the last few weeks. Ended up tossing a heater core in it and getting coolant bleed better. Heat works great. The NV4500 is great. Always a smooth shift and OD on the highway at 70 is much more comfortable. Had to wash the salt off the other day and took some pictures
View from below. Painting parts on this truck is overrated, rust brown is a perfect match
