Using this ESAB welder has been pretty nice. The weld quality and penetration is much better than the Eastwood migs I had used previously.
I burned through a 3lb roll of wire pretty quick so I upgraded to the 12lb roll.
And no project seems to be right without a little injury, I brushed up against a recently welded joint and basically branded myself

Two weeks til Bash, what’s the best thing to do? Why not pull the problematic 700r4 out and get it rebuild by a competent shop this time. Luckily there’s a place I’ve been recommended to that’s just around the corner from me. In talking with the owner he chuckled at the story of 3 failed rebuilds and assured me he would set me up right.
So now it’s out and I’ll spend the weekend getting other items done. Like painting and installing the cage and probably redecking a trailer.

Got the trans dropped off this morning and plan to have it back later this week. Hoping to have a good, properly working transmission for the first time in like 3 years.
I also started redecking my trailer. Cut all the boards to fit and pulled them off to wire lights and throw a little paint or coating on everything.

@the_blaze came by and helped me install a new brake booster while I did some frame repair on the trailer. We also got a base layer of paint on the frame

Not yet I’ll have to call him tomorrow and get the status.

Called the shop and they are just waiting on some parts that are coming in today. Fingers crossed its done today or tomorrow morning.

Depends how fast I can get it back in. Luckily we have a long weekend so Ill try my best to get done and drive it around.
My record is a hour removal and hour 25 min install.... Plenty of time and that install has been in the truck for 2 years now.
Tow it to my house and we'll put it on the lift and work standing up!
Would be worth the tow, as long as it doesn't rain ...........in the shop....
