I drove it into work today and got about 100 yards from the parking lot and ran out of gas. Got help pushing it into the lot and ran to get gas, came back to a dead battery. Fun morning..
Really cool side effect of the cage is that the body rattles have all but gone away. it feels a ton more solid going down the road. Go figure.

That right there is the primary reason I want a cage.
It’s well worth it. And although time consuming, it’s quite fun.
Made it down and no issues. I should have been towing this thing for the last 10 years. 8.1 is so nice and smooth pulling and the trailer worked flawlessly. Worth all the time spent. Now to get a new battery in this thing.
Made it back home and unpacked. Going through the hundreds of picture my GF and I took and will be posting most of them in the Blazer Bash pic thread but will cross post a few here, Like these

We took today off to “recover” from vacation lol
So watching a movie and going through pics now. Should be posting a ton tonight.
good for you, I'm always worthless the day after getting home from a trip like that.
Oh yah. Today and tomorrow will be recovering for me. Maybe even Wednesday too!
I need to start taking the Monday off as well this kills me.

How did your trans end up working out for you? Did this builder get it right so far?
Honestly after we started the trails on Friday I didn't have to worry about the trans. It worked flawlessly and was not on my mind which was great. I did monitor the temps and made a mental not that it got hot when idling for long periods. I didn't have both windstar fan on all the time but when the second one is turned on the trans almost never got over 160*. So yeah id say they got it right.
