I had to order up some headlight adjusting screws and so far can only locate 3 of the 4 headlight buckets. I'm seeing that I can order a new one from the various online stores for about $30 but hoping I can find the missing one or snag one from a yard.

Are the headlight buckets GMC specific and 67-72 specific? seems like a tough ask around here.

No, I think they are shared or close enough to other gm quad headlight vehicles that others would work

I hope that you don't mind my comment, it's looks a little bit like a Mad Max influence, but it's better than that.
I still may miss the beamer lights cosmetically, but if these work better..
:waytogo: :saweet:

Yeah I get it, I likes the aesthetics of the Beamer lights but being able to see trumps it. In this case function over form, but still looks good just different. I have yet to test it on the road so tonight will be... enlightening

Got the front brackets made for the seat and pretty happy with how it turned out. Used some extra shock tabs and 2” angle iron. The latches are right inline with the factory seat bolts, so no extra drilling or new holes in the body.
Just need to trim the bolts, smooth, and paint.

Once I finish the back seat I will work on the fronts, but before they all get installed I want to put down some sound deadener and hear insulation. Any recommendations for something to help reflect heat from the floor?

I’m very happy with the noico I got from amazon. I did the full door and speaker setup in my Dd mega cab. Made a pretty healthy difference. I’ve got a full box I’m gonna do the entire cab of my Chevy. I’m gonna our carpet back in it just to protect the heat/sound mat I’ll put down first

I used Dynamat in my '70 K10 years ago and I have been pleased with it. Last year I bought some of the Summit brand stuff and used it in the '90, and it seemed fine, but I didn't have a good before and after comparison since I changed so much stuff in that truck.

I used the summit brand stuff UNDER my truck for heat deflection and it's been great.

I put the DEI transmission tunnel shield on the underside of the '90 after @mrk5 said that he liked what it did for his. Then the summit stuff on top of the footwell areas, then the carpet pad stuff.

The DEI stuff was pricey, but if it works, I'm fine with it.

The transmission heat wasn't an issue, the exhaust however was cooking my feet before I added the heat insulation.
