Finished with the frame work for the steering box. I ended up having Oreilly return their box and was able to get a box from PSC delivered. They had it To me in 2 days, pretty awesome.
I’ll have to wait on getting a ram but this setup should get me through Bash

Next on the list is a little rocker protection. Picked up these sliders from @skunked a few years back and finally getting to putting them on. The trimming I’ve done on my fenders makes these a little long and so had to cut out about 3” from the middle.

Ryan keep an eye on that rubber donut. Eventually they get squishy, then the steering gets real squishy. Or non-existent

Is that a direct replacement for the rag joint? Mine has seen better days and wouldn’t mind replacing it.
What year is yours? There are two drive inputs. Actually think I have the wrong link above. Should be 13/16 and 36 spline. The package picture has that as one of the options, but that is a 30 spline collar

I did mine the not inspector approved and welded the new shaft to the old, no slip. We die like men

Yours should be the 30 spline. So either a smaller rag joint than the one Ryan posted or the part number from the photo I posted would match yours

@Bent77 my old rag joint lasted about 15 years and was due for a change. the new one should be good for a while but I will get a new shaft with ujoint coupler when more time and funds allow. Its a weird but nice upgrade with the PSC box that they went up from the 3/4 to the 13/16 input.

I’m actually running that early box on mine with the flared fitting and 36 spline driver input

Oh, and when you get a ram, take those -6 caps and hide them in your tool box. Then if someone gets trail fooked you can bypass the ram/lines if need be

Hauling butt to get this done. Winch mount I fabbed up today. Just need to drill the holes and mount it up.
Also installed a steering box brace @ashman made for me.
Still have to weld up some ramps for my trailer and thankfully a buddy came by and helped me get all the materials cut and prepped. Hoping to get that all done after work.
