I’m a nerd for Vibrant stuff, and they have a line of quiet mufflers. My single resonator is surprisingly quiet - rumble without the drone. Stainless Bros has super duper nice stuff, and what I’ve heard them in has sounded very civilized above idle.

Just resurfacing from the rabbit hole you sent me down. Vibrant stuff is nice and sounds good. A little on the $$ side but still reasonable. You got me thinking.

Made some more progress, but nowhere near as much as I had hoped. Condenser and drier are in. The vintage air kit so far in nice to work with.
The problem with adding the condenser is it lives in the same place as the trans and power steering coolers. I needed to space out the P/S cooler about an inch and relocate the trans cooler.
Trans cooler is now center stack and mounted better than before.

Also got the compressor mounted up. The bracket that goes on top of the headers was a bit chunky and was interfering with the header tube. I had to hit it with the flap wheel and take about 1/8”off.
After that the compressor would have fit just fine except the DIY4X shock tower makes for a tight fit and one of the unused tabs on the compressor needed to be massaged a bit.

It would be great if I could sell them.
Any idea what they go for?
I don't have a current market number, and yes condition can play a part, and how much of it you have, but there are still guys who will use as much as possible. The main housings aren't reproduced, so even if they aren't in great condition, they are better than nothing.
I had to buy housings when I pulled the Vintage system out of my '70. I hadn't saved every one that I had come across in my years. And I can't remember what I paid for parts from AZ. :doah:

Evaporator box and block off plates installed last night. @ashman helped me get it all mocked up. Luckily since we are installing them side by side, we can easily see the differences between our trucks. His rollcage is causing him issues, (check out his thread) and he can use mine to help figure out fitment.

This past weekend a lot of progress was made, but a major step backwards took place. First the good.
Got the truck pretty much back together. Need a few details and to charge the system.

Father’s Day my wife took me to lunch, got me a daiquiri :sign9:, and told me to get something from HD. Pretty stoked on the red tools.

Yesterday in observation of Juneteenth, @ashman, @Chevman88, and I all had the day off and wanted to go hit a trail. We got the trucks back together, packed up and hit the road. We stopped for gas, a couple miles down the road, topped off and ready to head out. Go to leave the parking lot and the Jimmy dies. Tried to crank and it sputters but won’t run.
Pushed it back into the lot and start looking at things. First thing I’m noticing is my fuel pressure gauge is reading low with the ignition on and as we are checking connections, the pressure jumps up to 40ish and then drops. Seems like I have a short somewhere but not exactly sure where. The injectors are also not firing so even with fuel pressure it’s not going anywhere. So now before I can get the A/C filled and enjoy the cool breeze in my convertible truck, I have to make it run.
I should add this is on a fitech 400 kit that has been pretty amazing for about 5 years now.

I would take a close look at anything you may have bumped or knocked loose during the AC install.

Assuming your using a relay for your fuel pump, I would start there and look for a signal from the EFI.

Yeah that’s the plan. It’s confusing because I didn’t really touch any of that wiring. But I might have bumped something or loosened a connection that I’m not thinking of.
I got a set of weather pak connectors to get rid other self loosening connections

Maybe you're having the bent fuel sending unit issue like Joey and I both had.
