I have to build a mount to hold the fuel tank, which will sit in the bed, close to the cab. Mount that, the tank, run the fuel lines. I have all these parts.
Then, guess I could start it, no gauges, I have them, and the new wiring harness, just have not installed them.
With all this cancer business with Mel. Not sure I'll even get to finish the truck now. Truck is way down the list, now. I only work on it to keep my mind busy. I am sad.

I finished building the external power port, I need two(2) 2 x 1/4 x 20tpi bolts to finish mounting the external plug, just ziptied on until I get bolts.
Atleast power is running and on.

I've had a valve cover bolt on the 8.1 litre that has stripped the threads out of the hole.
I had to size it use a die to size the bolt.
And then get the correct Heli-coil kit to repair it.

Got that pesky stripped out valve cover bolt hole drilled, tapped and Heli-coiled for some of that freshly threaded in feel

Q. You know what helps turn the engine over when you engage the starter solenoid?

A. When you have the battery cable that feeds the starter attached to the positive (B+) terminal on the bus bar…NOT THE FAWKING NEGATIVE BUS BAR!

So who here thinks a front suspension 3 link with coils would do OK under fat ass Chloe?

Just thinking out loud since I came into a set of full-size coil springs

It would be ok, however would you be ok with the amount of down time getting it on there. Looks like your sliding into home plate and going to drive her soon.

OK, I was finally able to break free for a minute and take some measurements. The measurement at the AC compressor pulley is 5-1/8”
The same measurement at the crank pulley is 4-5/16”
A difference of 13/16” or 0.8125
The difference between the Silverado series(smaller) and the GMT400 series(or larger)
So, I need to shave off 13/16” from the backside of the AC compressor bracket

It is nice and warm today so outside we go. Been trying to get this AC bracket business straightened out I think I’m getting close.

Custom AC hose and fitting kit from Speedway Motors. I should be able to make this work with all this.

New oriface tube and adapter tube so the “old style” read original oriface tube hose can be used with a modern oriface tube.

And a new full set of stainless steel brake lines. With new 4 wheel disc brake proportioning valve.
