Glass looks good! Nice that it swaped in easy.
There is, and it is superior to aftermarket tint.
Martin
It is superior because the tint is between layers of glass rather on the surface. You cant damage it without breaking the glass.
Now I have something else to keep an eye out for I the junkyard. How do I spot it?Yep. It's cool too cause those are 3 piece units. There is a layer of tint sandwiched between two sheets of glass. So it's not like the factory just added a film of tint. The glass manufacturer did it. It's really nice because I have had the outer glass get cracked and the inner glass stay in tact.
What paint route are you taking again?
I'm doing single stage urethane i bought from Summit.
Gallon of Blue, Gallon of White, Hardener, Reducer, and a can of wax and grease remover all came to about $300.
I'll be doing base/clear. I'm as of yet unsure what brand or brands I'll be going with. I really like the sounds of the stuff from southern polyurethane. But they don't offer a base coat. I had been planning on doing the omni line from ppg but I don't really read great things. I have been leaning towards a brand called Wanda now. The omni was $167 a gallon from my local place. If I can get something better for around $250 a gallon I would go for that. The complete omni system from primer to clear with all the juices was right at $700 from the local place. I'm still going to look around and price out some other brands.
