Bumper height regs depend on GVWR of the truck. Seeing as mine is originally a half ton, I get the least amount of wiggle room. I didn't take a picture of the requirements but I am too tall for a 1 ton. I believe the 1 ton requirements are 27 and 29 inches, front and rear. I am 29 and 28.5 front and rear
Is that to the top of the bumper or bottom. Wonder how that works with custom bumpers. I was just curious to see how mine would fit in.

They might not have safety Inspections but the do have lift laws...

I parked my truck at my uncle's place for a month or so (he is down south in a little town called Marissa) and I was warned not to drive into town or the law would hassle me about being lifted. Well, I'm a smart ass so I did it anyway, hoping to get pulled over. My truck was still wearing CO plates so what were they gonna do?

Never encountered the law though, so it didn't matter.
When I was in the Navy in VA, I still ran CO tags. VA had safety inspections and you'd get a window sticker. From time to time, the local cops would ticket Navy people with out of state plates that didn't have the inspection sticker. It was a pain in the ass because you'd have to go to court to get it dismissed. Or get the inspection done.

So they might have ticketed you in IL and you probably could have gotten it dismissed in court.

Yeah i don't think they can do much. I got pulled over in Wisconsin for loud exhaust. He told me I need to fix my mufflers. Being somewhat of a jackass knowing I had il plates. I said go ahead and issue me a fix it ticket and I would.
He stumbled over his words some a said it wasn't that loud but loud enough and it could be quieter......

I got an actual ticket one year in nebraska for no front license plate on my cherokee that had Utah plates while on my way to Wisconsin. Didn't even have a spot for one either. Dude was a dick. Probably looking for drug trafficking and decided to ticket me anyway.
I know in Utah the lift laws go off of the lowest place on the frame under the cab I think. I guarantee most of the jacked up diesels around here wouldn't even pass. As long as you have flaps and not super wide brodozer tires/wheels they generally leave you alone.

Bumper height is measured at the bottom to the ground. Does not matter if it is a tube or a foot tall channel

Changed a bunch of oil today...

This and the daily and the wife's Jeep.

Also threw some new AC Delcos in the sparky spots on this. Found a chunk of not very old fuel hose that was very near cracked through. Not too happy about that...

Checked the rest of the fuel system and it looks like I'll be spending a bit of time and money replacing the cheap shit that comes with a FiTech...

If you guys remember back to when I made this post....

Well yeah, I bought replacement fuel hose but never actually got around to installing it...

Yesterday I drove the truck to work and when I got home, it was dumping fuel all over the ground. Hooray for not catching on fire.

Happier how?

Still wish I would've spent my money on a better engine or at least a better efi...

Well that’s what I was getting to now that you fixed some fuel system stuff

Until I buy a house all of my fun has to be freefiddy
