How do you fill it up...sneak to the gas station?

I go to the local propane seller and he fills it. I thought about getting a wet kit for home but I would have to get a tank for home first. It is a 80 gallon tank (you can only fill them 80%) so 60 gallons goes along time. I figure the truck gets 9ish which with the price of LPG is about the same as getting 18 mpg.
Nice...I have a system with a tank the same size as yours that I pulled off a junk truck, maybe I should use it.
I have a couple local stations that fill propane. Doesnt matter what for as long as the tank is in good condition. Propane is about $1.70 cheaper than gas per gallon. My truggy is getting switched first and my other truck may get switched if I can find a big enough tank for cheap.

The 454 is a 80k marshall engine rebuild that I bought for $500 ( it came wrapped in a c10 with a new tranny). I swapped cams, intake and headers. I has 7.8 to one compression. Made what is in my sig after dyno tuning the stock qjet. I have a 100k vortec that is ready when this one pitches a rod.
Lots of trucks on propane here,but the system I got is old the truck I got it from about 2 years ago ran but wasn`t insured, if I put it on my truck I would have to get the tank recertified to fill and my truck isn`t insured ether...just farm truck.
That is why I asked how you fill it. Cause the guy that had it before me just drove it with out insurance to a station that would fill it for him.
My luck I would get caught driving there ..then no one would fill it for me because the tank isn`t certified.
I guess I could get some fork lift tanks and go that way.

We only got natural gas on the farm.
Your farms must be big. All ours are broke up into sections (1 mile x 1mile) and our biggest is a 1/2 section. I wouldn't drive around in mine not insured and you can't get a licence without it.
The farms not that big 640 acres,we are dairy farmers.
I sold my quad and use the truck instead for driving around the yard and playing with,sometimes I drive on the gravel roads but theres no cops on them usually.

I didn't realize you could burn off CRP. We never use to when we had it.

Odd, we bought an 80 that was in CRP. It had been in CRP for several years, and we re-enrolled it, so it was in CRP for 20 years, and was never once burned off. We also bought a 240 that was in CRP, and when it came out we just baled it, and then ripped it. It had never been burned off in 10 years.
