Yeah that was a change they made I think late 16/17. But if they felt it was a change worth making I’m going to use it.

1. Does it start, or was it running with the FI?
2. Is the FITech controlling the timing or is the HEI on its own?
What he said, just make sure you are on 1 not 6Find TDC, pull the cap and make sure the rotor is pointed to #1 (just before). Double check your firing order too.
No timing control
I know the firing order is correct cuz I checked that.Find TDC, pull the cap and make sure the rotor is pointed to #1 (just before). Double check your firing order too.
No timing control
Had to ask because I’ve seen some get rewired to run on timing control. It will start up and run on the fitech. I know there is a timing issue cuz if I pop the throttle I get a backfire up thru the tbi.
When you use it on hei there’s no timing control.
You can do the compression method. If that doesn’t work, My tried and true is watching the rockers and going to tdc.I know the firing order is correct cuz I checked that.
To find tdc should I just turn the engine til it’s on the mark and see which plug it’s pointing at, or check and see where it’s at when #1 pushes my finger off the hole
Should be just a normally open switch. One side to the battery in on the starter, the other to the solenoid trigger on the starterAnother dumb question.
I got a starter bump button awhile back. How do I hook it up? Never used one before.
