I like that. Ever since seeing Wade's battery melt down I've been wondering about ways to prevent that.If you run a Ford starter solenoid the only time the cable to the starter is live is when you are starting it.
You then can pull all your power from the SS instead of the starter. Less things get melted around the headers and such.
It also makes a nice place to run a remote start too when you are doing work on it.
You still can. Alternator to battery. Battery to Ford solenoid (big cable like 2/0ga) From same lug on the solenoid as the 2/0ga, run a 4ga wire to the junction block thru a 150A fuse (ANL type). You could also put the alternator charging wire on the Ford solenoid with the 2/0ga & 4ga wires. Then of course the starter pulls from the other side of the Ford solenoid. I would use 2ga cable.My ls engine harness has a constant and switched 12v wires.
I hate clutter off the battery, my plan was to use the junction block to achieve this.
I really really liked the battery to just had a positive and negative it was very nice and CLEAN.
