Was that fitting taking the brunt of the battery falling out of the holder.
The fitting was on the trans side, but when the battery did fall over it killed the truck. Flipped it back over and it started? Was that fitting taking the brunt of the battery falling out of the holder.

Not sure, it's possible. On my list is better grounds.Looks like the positive post on the side shorted out. Maybe the tranny side had a better ground,
I will have to give it a try tomorrow. That hose fitting isn't correct for the hose. The collar isn't touching the outer sleeve. Take both hoses back to wherever you got them and have them make new, or show them why you are going somewhere else. I would bet that you could pull the hose off of the fitting if you tried with just a little force.
I may be wrong, and maybe it's stuck better than I think, but it doesn't look like the right combination of parts. Like the wrong series fitting for the hose.I will have to give it a try tomorrow.
Clever oneLooks like a screw in end. Not a crimp end.
So I thought you were being funny... I started researching ptfe today because I hear race cars use it and it turns out this is a ptfe line and indeed a threaded in that screws together.Looks like a screw in end. Not a crimp end.
Your whole brake system is flexible hose? All of my brake line are that. No issues in 13 years.
