No low spot in the line, it literally makes no sense.
On my 01 burb, every time you filled the front differential it would puke out of the breather till it found the level it liked, Jason4x4's burb did the same thing. He said GM service letter suggested putting a simple inline fuel filter in would fix it... Apparently the fluid would get in the tube and air would push it all the way up and out. The filter gives it a place to burp air past the fluid.....
 
The 241s do have a pump but no rub issue. I have no idea what is causing your problem. But I too would try out the fuel filter idea and see if that will give it a place to go and then allow it to drain back into the case if it desires.
 
Vent to the front grille.. Problem solved, long enough to house that excess fluid.

Not necessarily, I routed mine up all the way to the firewall from the back of a doubler and it puked all over my engine bay after some high speed freeway driving. If any oil can get into and stay in the line, it'll just keep building up until it comes out the end of the hose. I ended up using an odd drain back vent system to get rid of the problem. My rear axle still does it if I fill it too much.
 
Hmmm, interesting, what kind of drain back did you create?

I welded a fitting on the PTO cover with a brass elbow and hose that connects to a Tee in the main vent hose. So any oil that does get pushed out the vent fitting, is able to move up the hose a few inches and then can drain back into the fill plug elbow. For some reason it wouldn't drain back through the vent hose.

The vent fitting is the hose on the top right and you can kinda see the brass "tee" between it and the PTO cover. The actual venting is done by a third hose on the TEE. Looks like I have a small leak though to look into.
 
I vented my 400 like that. Ran the vent line up to a brass fitting at the top of the dipstick, and if and when it ever pukes, it is a no mess problem. Then just used a vented snap down dipstick I had to cut to length and add the bends into it, came from a 95 truck.

Now this, I would run it like you have it down the highway for awhile and see what happens. I bet it will simply quit puking like was said, and level off and be ok. Running the vent to the cowling is a good idea, I have the t-case and rear axle right up to the wiper motor with the little autozone air filters on top. Seems to work, and rarely gets water in it. Or you could extend that rubber line into the bottom of that soda bottle, and keep it as an overflow tank.

Are the new lines on the bottle all equally spaced, or does the amount of displaced fluid seem to be getting smaller lately?

is your truck much taller up front than in the rear? or does the ORD mounts raise the engine a bit up?
 
Truck sits level, I had Kurt at diy build me a custom set of mounts to raise the engine up 1.5 inches.

The oil pan clears with a small block Ord cross member. Some have trouble clearing it with a big block cross member so that should give you a idea how much it's up.

The trans pan is completely level and the engine is at a 6 degree angle.
 
Here is my next project, finding out why these all read low...

And getting the coolant gauge to light up.
 
It's on the tablet which has been my only source of accurate gauges.

I should have soldered the connections instead of crimped
 
Leak has been confirmed from the trans into the t case. It's showing low and the dye confirmed from sampling the mtn dew bottle.
