Lq4 it won't have a cam but I at least don't get to change the thread title.

You going to swap in your new valve springs? Stock truck springs are pretty weak and float valves fast.
Was going to ask you about that, will it hurt? We need to talk about tuning the ecm again.

I'll echo the sentiment - You rock! When it comes to persistently and consistently overcoming obstacles, you have been unstoppable.
This is turning into a tortoise kind of build (as in tortoise and hare) instead of the squirrel thread that we were reading last year. Looking back through the thread, I never would have predicted such a breakneck effort after all the time spent on so many theoretical discussions. Nor did I expect it to turn out so nicely. You have definitely exceeded expectations.

What kind of benefits will it make? Always heard you should match the springs with the cam.
They will fight valve float, the better control of the valve the better. Less chance of bad things happening.

A new gm long block is bad ass!
It's from AutoZone, I buy a ton of parts from them through work and they took off 400.00, waived shipping and will deliver it. Not my first choice of supplier, but couldn't pass up the deal and it will have a 3 year warranty.

This. Stock truck springs are about 70lb at the seat. Pretty weak.
