Now that I have everything and it runs, back to wiring this thing up. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before I started putting it together.

Vintage air or ord rear suspension?
AC

I'm not one for hard rules, but this is where I have a definitive opinion. 99% of the time, I focus on adding something I don't already have. This maximizes the payoff and sense of accomplishment, and adds momentum for the next sub-project. You have a rear suspension. You don't have 35* air blowing in your face when it's hotter than a match head outside.

Add what you don't have before revising what you do.

I do really want a/c just wish I could budget it right now.

Anyone familar with the terminator x max system? I can't get the trans to shift, it's all hooked up. The only thing I can think of is I had to cut the vss wiring to change the connector, I put a weather pack in the middle and maybe it's not making contact? Anyway I can test this other then ohming it out with a bunch of long wires at the ecu plug to the vss connector?

Yes the trans is in perfectly working order before anyone asks....

There's a bunch of built/tune threads on those on ls1tech, those guys have jumped in on those pretty hard. May be some experience there.

If it was working before you did that, double check it

I managed to get the plug on my 4l60e plugged in completely backwards once and it wouldn't shift.

I thought about that, I put it so the arrow is on the outside facing down, I could try and flip it around just to see but I always thought this was the way it worked.

It wasn't unfortunetly, Holley puts the newer vss connector on it and I needed to match what the tcase had as well as lengthen it.

I feel like the arrow was facing the front of the truck but who knows how it varies, could be worth a shot but I think when I pulled it in wrong it threw a check engine code or two or 12.

I had to do this with my VSS as well and had no issues chopping and putting in the new connector.

Are you running the terminator kit? Any chance you could crawl under and take a look?
