Anybody ever messed with one of these? It won’t send the ground to the positives to switch on my fans anymore…

Oh ya and the truck is back home.

A guy on Instagram was having this same issue.......

Can you elaborate on that? Sounds like you want it to short itself?

If it was mine I would be investigating the corrosion in the trigger terminal screws....remove, clean, and reassemble. Also check to make sure that little black ground wire is still providing solid ground, that's required to function.

Well it’s functioning properly, all the grounds are good and it’s getting power in. The Holley triggers the ground side then it switches power to the fans, It’s not doing that function.

I cleaned and cleaned all connections and used sand paper and even cut back the wires. During a rain storm it went down the fender and into the box. It’s my fault was just hoping for a fix.

Manually trigger the positive triggers and see if they still work. If they do maybe you can switch the Holley to a + trigger if you have an available output.

If not, you may need to warranty it or replace it if it's out of warranty.

I have been using sealed relays on my most recent builds on anything that's not in the interior.

That’s the plan to try after work, just concerned the small gauge wire coming out of the holley

Yes, the little trigger wires only need to be 18-22 AWG, they are just telling the relay to turn on the circuit, very low current. But a little jumper wire manually held from the large positive terminal screw to the little + trigger screw on the top row will tell you if it even works anymore. If not don't bother trying to convert it.

Looks like if I send a signal to the positive side of the relay it will trigger the fans on, guess I’ll e upsizing the wire from the Holley to the SSR

You don't need to upsize the wire to trigger the relay, I'm talking about the 4 tiny screws in the upper right corner of your picture.

You just need to make sure that wire can be converted to a +12V output in the software, not all can be, some are only ground.

I believe it can but will have to get my laptop out.

Thank you!
