1990 5.3 Jimmy

First shakedown went really well considering all the changes from last time it ran including:
Raised sliders
Boxed frame
All new gas lines
Rear 4 link
Frame notched to clear coilovers
New brake lines
New wheel wells
Battery relocated behind the seat and all new cable run
Exhaust, again (which sounds beyond awful btw)
Some new cage bracing

What’s your exhaust setup right now?
I’m not in love with mine either.
 
Two round magnaflows and exiting in front of the rear tires. It's so bad, I ordered some chambered mufflers I'm going to squeeze in at the exit and see if that helps at all.
I hear ya. I sure wish I could figure out a way to get my exhaust past the fourlink.
 
I think the chambered muffler in the wheelwell might do it. If not then the next option has to be squeezing between frame and body with an oval tube. I'm not sure what bump looks like for the upper links though.... Anything to quiet it down.
 
Exhaust Rev. 6 or something was a success, chambered mufflers were the way to go. Magnaflow round mufflers are still there but at this point I imagine they act more like resonators. Much much quieter and a low rumble without rasp. It's still "loud" but compared to all other versions this is the quietest. I still have to cut the body so the exhaust can exit and not just full up the wheel wells but no big deal at this point.
