1990 K5 Build ( Ol' Blue ) : Rocker rust...

Does anyone know where I can find the piece that bolts into the backing plate on the rear drums of a SF 14 bolt and the springs attach to it At the top. The clip sheared off when my when cylinder exploded in my drums.

You're talking the centering pin at the top where the brake shoes pivot?

Im 99% sure yes thats the one. Searched rockauto and also the local parts store. Only one junkyard around and they dont have much older stuff ( a mid 90s k1500 ). Im also wondering if it would be the same as a ten bolt? Would broaden my search atleast.

on the bright side i am using this time to install the crossover kit as my easy inches from ORD showed up, and i had some ubolts made locally.

appears to be called an anchor pin in most diagrams.

I'm sure that you can use one off of a '90s 14bsf. They didn't change much on the brakes as long as they are the same size drums.

Im having hard time finding one. This is a mid ninenties sf14. Junkyard here doesn't keep much stuff. Not sure what year they used these til. Somewhere around 2000 I imagine

Thought maybe drill and tap a hole and put a small grade 8 bolt in there with a nut. All I need is somewhere to clip the springs too

I could rape one off the junk SF14 I have here, but it won't be til this Sunday earliest...

thatd be awesome! even if i find a home made fix id rather switch it back out to stock after. id really appreciate that. I looked all over rock auto, nothing even close to that piece. So strange ..
