$200 K5 (454 K5 now) *too much junk in the trunk

I need to hook up heater hose. The 2 nipples on the pic get connected, water pump to intake. I think I need to come out of the intake at the black plug and go to the heater core. Then out of the heater core into the radiator port. What's the black plug in the water pump for?
Optional coolant return from heater core. Not all radiators have the heater return option. My '70 doesn't.

Fuel pump wiring question. The pigtail coming off the fuel pump assy has a grey and purple (pink?) wire. Connects to pink and a tan with white stripe at a weather pack connector above the axle. Runs to fuse block along drivers frame with rear light wiring. Is pink pump power and tan the gauge?

Woo hoo! Mad man on the loose!!!

I've read the heel is one of the most painful areas for injuries.

Take your time, let it heal proper.

I go to physical therapy twice a week. It's working but slowly. The scar tissue is very solid and difficult to break up so it's limiting range of motion still. Last 2 weeks one session has been dry needling. They stick about 8 acupuncture looking needles along the scar. The needles are not smooth. Once they are in she twists them one at a time and they kind of grab in the scar to help loosen it. So, yes, breaking your heal sucks big time. Don't break your feet, break anything else but your feet.

Great to be mobile and doing things again. The doc says the best thing to do is use it and try to get flexibility back. It's getting there. A few hours in the shop was brutal just a few weeks ago. I have had a good 5 hr session this afternoon and I was active all morning too.

Oh yeah, I think my proflo is wired now, and the TBI harness is about half stripped out. Gaining ground on this project.

Be careful with your coil mounted horizontally, there used to be an MSD rep on this board (can't remember his name) that warned me about doing that. When horizontal, the windings aren't completely covered in oil and can overheat and break down.

Everything looks great, I'm jelly of the Pro Flo. I'm looking forward to how it drives.

So it should be upright then? I will change it. Thanks. I needed to go back in and replace the sheet metal screws with nutserts anyway.

Yeah, upright. I tracked down the post, it was "philly87" that posted it (he hasn't been here in a long time). You might want to highlight the post to read it, he used light colored text that doesn't show up well on a dark background if you're using "dark mode".

I think I will just get a universal builder kit and weld up some exhaust. I used a 1991 454 exhaust manifold for a V3500, it has a port for the O2 sensor. I want to go 2.25" or 2.5" into a single 3", a universal cat, a muffler and then exit out the side behind drivers tire.

None of the "hot rod" kits come with the first piece of tube that bolts to the manifold flange. Why can't I find this first piece for sale? Most seem to start with a header flange but its not the same, manifold takes the graphite donut for a seal.
