2000 GMC SAS: Hydro assist assistance

Cut more. Ground more. Got one to semi-fit. Wheel is out of round. I'm going to pick up another set of wheels on saturday.
Trimmed the rear. Going to probably cut the back of the bed at an angle like the pre runner guys do. I like the look and Ive already broken both of the mounts running the bed into the ground.
So far the list is as follows for the front:
Cut front of fenders to core support
Cut rear of fenders to firewall
Cut into rocker panels at firewall
Remove washer fluid tank
Trim core support
Trim inner fender
Limit up travel
And that's just from backing it up out of the shop and turning it. I'm sure more problems will show themselves.
Bed should be cool. Going to tube it for reinforcement?
Meh, probably wont do more than cut. Beds temporary. I'm still planning on a flatbed, the money I was planning on using for materials went for tires. Funny how that always works out.
Edit: this is what I'm talking about with the bed. I really dig the ultimate z71, its a big part of why I built this truck the way I did.

chrome 15x10's today. Did some more grinding. Finally done I think. Cant test fit the tires until I get the tires mounted. Different backspacing. Hopefully I can get them dropped off with my tire guy next week so I should be able to get an idea of how much cutting the front is going to need.

Didmt see your edit till now. That truck looks freakin sweet. I think doing the bed like that will look great.
Going to rock the chrome or scuff and paint?
How is that beer? Thought about it but never tried that one.
I'm willing to bet how I have the cut planned in my head and how it will turn out are going to be a little different.
You know I dont like shiny things. I'll probably paint them flat black and eventually buy another set of black powdercoated ones.
The beer is great. The can alone is worth buying one. Its pretty expensive. I supplement with rum until desired effect is reached.

Yes I have. Another "that bottle looks awesome" purchase. Different than what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed it. I'm a Sailor Jerry guy, but I've been on a Blackheart kick for a few weeks.

I have been on a whiskey kick lately though.
I'm thinking of running ORD's competition style bumpstops on my frame rails above the spring pads to limit my up travel. Do you guys think they'd be able to handle the constant abuse of being used often?

I have to adjust where mine hit, bu t I have bottomed mine out a few times on the u bolts and they are still holding up great.
I know Avery runs them.
I'm just curious about using rubber bumps to stop the front end constantly. I assume they can handle the abuse though. They're cheap enough I could keep replacing them. I figure I've only got 6-8" of space between the frame and the pad, If I could get a bump stop in there and knock that down to about half I could keep the tires out of the fenders. I'll have to do some measuring when I get them on I guess.
Took two wheels and got them mounted for the front. I didnt want to lift two more into the Dodge so I'll drive down there in the next few days and get the rears swapped over. Didnt get a chance to paint them, but I will.
Cut the left front a little more than I planned. Need to borrow a sawzall for the rockers, my air compressor has a hard time keeping up with the grinder. Removed the front fender mounts, washer fluid tank, and a lot of the inner fenders. Got enough clearance for normal driving.
Drove it. I'm going to have to brace the 205, I can feel it twisting. I should have done it after I broke the adapter.
Still need to trim the bed. Need to trim the rockers. Need to figure how much I'm going to limit the up travel, I may have to lop off the outside of the core support which is where my LEDs are mounted. So I may get to move them.
I'm going to see if the washer fluid motor has enough power to move fluid from the toolbox, there's not room underhood for the tank.
It's probably going to need a tune at the least. The truck still doesnt know what to do in low range. More power wouldnt hurt, and I probably need some 5.38's. Might as well get rid of the traclok in the front for a detroit, get some 35 spline outers, hydro assist.. It's starting to snowball...

Washer fluid pump should do just fine. Usually they are identical for front and rear washer pumps. If it works on something like a xl burb it will work on your truck.

That's what I was thinking. I hit the button on the pump once while unhooked. That little motor moves some liquid.
Dont remind me about the wheels. That's the only one that looks that good, and I hate it. Luck of the draw that I put it in the most visible position.
If Zach hasnt sold his I'll take you up on that offer.
